One of the greatest indirect advantages of becoming a member is that it gives substance to the Islamic Society of Holland Park Incorporated. This is decisive when petitioning or lobbying the various levels of Governments, various departments and other such organisations. There can be a great significance in the approach by the Holland Park Mosque to these organisations if size of its membership is considerable, the greater the membership the greater the influence on the wider community.

An example would be; “We are against this proposal and we represent so many hundred financial members.”

In the present climate it is essential that our voice be heard and our views be made aware. To achieve this we must have the weight behind us and our weight is determined by the number of financial members we have subscribed to our Society.

Who can be a Member?

In general, there are three (3) main criteria to be fulfilled in order to become a Member of the Islamic Society of Holland Park Incorporated:

• Must be a Muslim
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Cannot be an existing member of any other Society or Organisation affiliated with the Islamic Council of Queensland (ICQ).

How to Apply?

To apply you need to submit a completed Membership Application form which can be downloaded from this site. An application form must be completed for each person applying for membership.

What is the Cost?

Membership to the Islamic Society of Holland Park Incorporated is Fifty Australian Dollars ($50.00AUD) per person, subscription to the Society is renewable every year.
